Erin and I met in 1998; we were both twelve years old. For twenty-seven years, I got to be one of her very best friends. We journeyed from adolescence into adulthood together. I watched her fall in love with her soulmate and was beside them as they said their wedding vows. Shawn provided her heart’s one true desire, the gift of motherhood. Ryan, Aubrey, and Hallie - her joy, strength, and purpose.

Erin passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday night at home with her beloved family. She loved her husband and children more than there are stars in the sky. Erin loved many children and cared for them as her very own. Our beautiful friend, wife, mother, sister, daughter, auntie, cousin - she is already deeply and truly missed.
