Erin was the kind of person who made the world a better place simply by being in it. She was kind, gentle, selfless, and had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel seen, valued, and loved.
Those of us who were lucky enough to know Erin were even luckier to call her our friend.

Erin grew up in Hanover, Massachusetts, and for more than 35 years, our close-knit group of friends has shared life’s biggest moments together. We have watched her grow into the incredible woman, mother, and friend that she was.

Erin also spent many years working at South Shore Hospital, where she created another family of people who loved and adored her. She formed deep, lasting relationships with her coworkers and touched the lives of so many through her kindness, compassion, and dedication. Even after moving to Florida almost nine years ago while pregnant with Cody, those friendships remained strong, and the South Shore Hospital community continues to surround her family with love and support.

Erin built a beautiful life in Florida for her two boys, Cody and Kennedy. She filled their childhoods with love, laughter, adventure, and memories they will carry with them forever.

On July 15th, our hearts were shattered when Erin passed away suddenly from an undiagnosed genetic heart condition, one that no one knew she had. Her loss was completely unexpected and has left everyone who knew her heartbroken. Just weeks earlier, Cody and Kennedy had experienced the heartbreaking loss of their father. Now, at only 8 and 4 years old, they are facing the unimaginable reality of growing up without either of their parents.

Their Uncle Chris, Chris’s husband Uncle Michael, and Erin’s other brother, Uncle Ryan, will be there to support them every step of the way. They have lovingly stepped forward to provide the boys with a home and the stability they need. As they begin this new chapter, they will be relocating, and there will be many unexpected expenses associated with this transition. Funds raised will help with moving the boys, supporting their immediate needs, and building a foundation for their future, including education and opportunities Erin would have wanted for them.

If you knew Erin, you know that being a mom was her greatest joy. She devoted herself completely to Cody and Kennedy and worked tirelessly to give them a wonderful life. While nothing can replace the love of their parents, we hope to surround Cody and Kennedy with the same love, kindness, and support that Erin gave so freely throughout her life.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help provide these boys with security, stability, and hope as they begin this unimaginable journey.

Thank you for honoring Erin’s memory and helping carry forward the love she gave so generously to everyone around her.

With Love,
Erin’s Hanover Besties and her South Shore Hospital Family.
