Honoring the Life and Legacy of Erica Sanders

This GoFundMe has been created to support Erica’s four children and assist with funeral arrangements.

My family and I are suffering from the tragic loss of our sister, Erica Sanders. On March 17, 2026, in Center Line, Michigan, Erica was murdered by her boyfriend while her children were home and forced to witness their mother’s death.

Erica had been dealing with aggressive and possessive behavior from her boyfriend. She made it clear that she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him, but he did not respect her wishes. Tragically, this cost Erica her life.

She leaves behind four children—two daughters and two sons—whom she loved deeply. Erica was a devoted and loving mother who raised her children with compassion, strength, and care. Her children are now left to cope with the unimaginable trauma of witnessing their mother’s life taken so suddenly.

This horrific loss has devastated our family. To know Erica was to know love, compassion, faith, and family. She loved the Lord deeply and shared that love with everyone around her. Above all, she loved her children.

The man who took our sister’s life did not consider the family she would leave behind—especially her four children, who now have to navigate life without their mother.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for your support to help cover funeral expenses so we can properly lay our beloved sister to rest. We are also asking for support for her children as they begin a new life without their mother.

The trauma they experienced will stay with them forever, but with your help and donations, we hope to provide them with the care, stability, and resources they need—especially counseling and therapy—to begin healing and to give them the life they deserve.

All contributions will go toward funeral costs, and any remaining funds will be used to support the children and their ongoing needs.
