Hello,
I tried very hard over the last year to manage my dog's veterinary bills by myself. I've paid over 9k for her medical care and I hate having to make this GoFundMe, but I need help with her final bills.
Empress was diagnosed in Nov 2024 with an autoimmune disease and the treatment was ongoing vet visits, blood transfusions, weekly bloodwork, and expensive medication for a year. It depleted my savings completely, but I was able to keep up with the bills until Dec 2025 when it was discovered at a routine check-up that she had a large tumor in her spleen and needed a splenectomy ASAP. During surgery, she needed a plasma transfusion and then was hospitalized for 3 days. I made a down-payment of 500 Euros (money I had put aside for her ongoing vet appointments), but the total bill came out to over 3000 Euros. After the down-payment, there's a remaining balance of 2695 Euros plus a little over 200 Euros for pathology.
The pathology showed that the tumor was a hemangiosarcoma, the worst kind.
On Dec 26th, Empress was acting a bit lethargic and looked pale, so I took her to the vet. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the hemangiosarcoma had spread to her liver. The tumor had burst and her whole abdominal cavity was full of blood. I had to make the very painful decision to end her suffering and let her go
The final bill came out to 257.24 Euros.
Her cremation is another 504 Euros.
Unfortunately, I have no more savings left and this is a very high amount that came together within a month.
This is why I'm here, asking for help.
Those of you who know me, know how many dogs I've helped while I ran my rescue, PoundPup and Friends. Now I'm humbly asking for help to pay the final expenses for my own dog
No amount will be too small, it all adds up
