Emma was pure joy wrapped in a little girl – bright eyes, a contagious smile, a love for all things girly, and a way of charming everyone she met. Nothing was “so-so” with Emma, all things and all people were “special.” She was one in a million that God gave us for too short a time. In her almost seven years, she touched far more lives than many do in a lifetime. She was deeply loved, fiercely cherished and she brought light wherever she went.

After a sudden and devastating illness, Emma went home to be with Jesus. While we rejoice in the hope we have in Christ and know that death is not the end, our hearts are broken for Brian and Amanda and her brothers, Carter and Dillon, who now face life without their precious daughter and sister. Right now, Brian and Amanda are learning how to breathe again, one day, one moment, one hour at a time. The weight of grief is overwhelming and the last thing they should have to worry about is finances. This fund is meant to remove as much financial burden as possible in the days and months ahead so they are not anxious about medical bills, so they can honor Emma’s life in the way that feels right to them, so they have space to grieve, to rest, and to care for their family, so money is one less thing pressing on them as they learn how to live without Emma here We cannot fix what is broken or answer the “why” that lingers in every heart, but we can come alongside this family in a very tangible way and carry each other’s burdens.

Brian and Amanda have shown deep faith even in the darkest valley. They trust the Lord who healed the blind, raised the dead, and welcomed little children into His arms. They know Emma is safe, whole, joyful, and fully restored in the presence of Jesus. And yet, the ache of her absence here is real and relentless and heart-wrenching.

Please continue to lift this family up in prayer—for strength, for peace that surpasses understanding, and for hope to rise again in time. Thank you for loving this family so well. Thank you for helping ensure that, as they grieve, they do not have to worry about the practical burdens of this unimaginable loss.

“And the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
