Honoring Emily Grace's Bright Spirit
Donation protected
*Permission to share our family’s story given by her mother, Courtney Badgett.
My niece, Emily Grace, age nine, was tragically taken from her family on May 27, 2025.
Emily had the most joyful smile and the biggest heart. She loved to laugh, dance, and sing. She loved animals and her friends. She was sassy and dramatic at only nine. She was excited to go into fourth grade after summer break. She loved being outside or playing Roblox.
She loved her family and we loved her more than we could put into words.
The world lost a huge light.
Please keep us all in your prayers as we navigate through this nightmare we cannot wake up from. My sister Courtney, her Mom, needs the most prayers. No parent should have to make these decisions.
All the funds that are raised are to help with funeral cost for our dear Emily. She was nine, no mother believes their child needs life insurance. Whatever is left over is discussed to be a memorial or scholarship in the future, especially for her classmates that all loved Emily. It is so clear how loved she was.
This tragic event shattered our family’s heart but also this small community of Brooklet. Please continue to wrap the community in prayer. Especially the first responders, coroner, funeral home, and any others that took that call.
