In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Vieyra
This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Reflecting on my sister’s memory and sharing how beautiful she was—inside and out—is not the difficult part. The difficult part is explaining why I’m here asking for help.
My sister, Elizabeth, was taken from us far too soon at just 28 years old. She suffered an arteriovenous malformation that bled unexpectedly, and despite every effort, she did not recover. Losing her has left a void that will never be filled.
Elizabeth had a pure heart. She cared deeply for others, was always there when someone needed her, and faced life with unwavering positivity. Her beautiful, contagious smile could brighten any room, and her soft voice and warm laughter brought comfort to everyone around her. It will never make sense why she was taken from us so early, but I know she is now one of heaven’s most beautiful angels.
Elizabeth attended Holy Spirit Catholic School and graduated with honors from Moreau Catholic High School. She later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cal State East Bay. She worked as a manager at Amazon during the day, cared for an elderly couple at night, and devoted time to supporting autistic children. She was endlessly giving, compassionate, and selfless.
She lived as a hero—and continues to be one. Elizabeth was an organ donor, and on Friday, November 21st, she had her Honor Walk as she was taken to the OR to give the gift of life. Through her final act of generosity, she continues to live on.
Elizabeth was never someone who asked for anything—she was always the one offering help. So today, I’m reaching out to her loved ones, friends, and anyone who was touched by her spirit. If you are able to contribute toward her final expenses—her resting place, services, and support for our parents—it would mean more than words can express. Every little bit helps, and I know she would be so grateful for your love and support.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping us honor her memory.
