Elizabeth, Betsy, Liz, Mom... She'd been a part of a lot of lives through all her roles, in the town of East Windsor and beyond. She might've helped you through human services, or just when she happened to be in the car outside Brooks/Walgreens/Rite Aid during errands. Maybe you sat next to her at a town meeting, be it for the Democrats or the Police Commission or the park on South Water St.... there were a lot of meetings!
Betsy was a private person, and on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, passed quietly and peacefully.
We as her family are looking to see her last wishes honored. She asked for a burial beside her mother, in her home town. She asked for a Mass at her old church.
Despite the simplicity of these requests, there are costs involved, and no insurance yet uncovered to account for them.
Any assistance you can provide would be so very greatly appreciated. We all know how much help Betsy gave to all of us, finding homes and jobs and food and even just a friend to talk to. We know not all might be able, but if you can, even a few dollars, would mean the world.
This fundraiser has been setup by her daughter, Jen, to help cover costs for a service, including Mass [pending final details if organist and vocalist are 'required'] at St Joseph's in Winsted,CT, cremation and burial through [Montano-Shea in Winsted, CT].
