Elizabeth Bertrand was the strongest and one of the most caring women I knew. She always spoke her mind and didn’t care what anyone thought. She lost her parents when she was young and raised her younger brothers, as well as her 5 children. She also was in a car accident and became an amputee at a young age. She had survived kidney cancer and at her death was fighting lung cancer, pneumonia, and COPD. She was a fighter, but she is finally at rest in peace, with Jesus. She was my Mawmaw, and for that I’ll forever be grateful.
