We are raising funds for the memorial and burial of our beloved husband and father, Edwin Shaffer. Ed was a true shining example of what it looks like to love your neighbor as yourself. In fact, he loved others much more than he loved himself and always made sure that everyone around him was taken care of. Whether it be food, shelter, or even the clothing off of his own back, he would go without to make sure others never had to. He was a strong man of faith who showed Jesus' love to all who crossed his path.

Due to his generosity and many unfortunate financial situations he faced throughout his life, he could no longer afford his life insurance payments. Seven years ago, Ed lapsed on his life insurance payments and couldn't afford the exorbitant amount per month that they were asking him to pay. Now his family is left with his burial costs without a life insurance policy, retirement or even a savings account.

We are so grateful for the life of generosity our father and husband lived out every single day. We will forever cherish and follow his Christ-like example. We are humbly asking for help during this time of grieving. Any amount is so very much appreciated. Thank you all for being there for all of us during this very difficult time of loss.
