It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Edward Allen Martinez. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the young age of 58.

For those who knew Edward (a.k.a. Dala, uncle Eddie, Bro, uncle Bob) you know he was an incredible person who touched the lives of everyone around him. He had the biggest heart, was so generous, loving and kind. We will always remember him for his warm and loving heart.

Edward had a remarkable life of a father, brother, and son whose presence lit up every room he entered. A man with a truly big heart, he gave so much of himself to everyone around him. He leaves behind two daughters and a son, as well as a daughter-in-law and three beautiful grandchildren.

He found joy in the little moments and purpose in lifting others up. Whether he was cheering from the stands or coaching on the sidelines, he dedicated countless hours to youth and high school sports — shaping not only athletes, but young men of character. His passion for the game was matched only by his devotion to his community.

A true Trojan at heart, his love for USC football was fierce and unwavering. And come baseball season, you’d find him rooting for his beloved Dodgers — a tradition and passion he proudly passed on.

His legacy lives in the lessons he taught, the laughs he shared, and the love he poured into every part of his life. May we carry forward his spirit of generosity, loyalty, and boundless love.
