Hello, on Sunday, August 2nd, my stepdad’s cousin, Edgar Rolando Reyes Rodriguez, unexpectedly suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. While he was there, they told us he had a brain hemorrhage and there was no hope left for him. He is currently pronounced brain dead and on life support. Edgar came to the U.S. to work and help financially support his family in Guatemala. He has no other family here in the U.S. but my stepdad. We’re kindly asking from the bottom of our hearts for your help to raise money to cover funeral expenses and to be able to send him back to his home in Guatemala, so he can have his funeral there, where he wished to go back one day and reunite with his family, especially his 4 kids that he loved dearly.

El domingo 2 de agosto, Edgar Rolando Reyes Rodríguez, primo de mi padrastro, sufrió inesperadamente un derrame cerebral y fue trasladado al hospital; allí nos informaron que presentaba una hemorragia cerebral y que ya no había esperanzas para él. Actualmente se le ha declarado con muerte cerebral y se encuentra conectado a soporte vital. Edgar vino a Estados Unidos para trabajar y ayudar económicamente a su familia en Guatemala. No tiene más familia aquí en el país, salvo mi padrastro. Les pedimos de todo corazón su ayuda para recaudar fondos destinados a cubrir los gastos funerarios y poder repatriar sus restos a Guatemala, para que allí se celebren sus funerales, tal como él deseaba al anhelar regresar algún día y reencontrarse con su familia, especialmente con sus cuatro hijos, a quienes amaba profundamente.
