Honoring Eddie: Support for Funeral & Family

Our family is heartbroken by the sudden and tragic loss of Eddie Joseph Vargas, Jr., who left us far too soon at just 29 years old. Eddie was a quiet protector—someone who carried so much love in his heart and asked for so little in return. He cherished peace, adored his cats, loved playing video games, and lit up every room with his kind smile and warm laugh. He was a talented trumpet player who poured his soul into the music he made. Eddie never wanted to worry anyone, even when he was struggling. We had no idea he was so ill, and losing him to pneumonia so unexpectedly has been devastating for all of us.

Eddie was a son, a brother, a partner, a friend, and a gentle light to everyone who knew him. To me, he was my big brother—someone who showed love through his presence, his patience, and his quiet strength. He made people feel safe. He made people feel cared for.

We are raising funds to help cover the cost of Eddie’s funeral. This will help us honor his memory and offer comfort to the family and friends who are grieving this unimaginable loss.
