His name was Dustin, and he was one of the kindest, sweetest kids you could ever meet.
When this picture of him last Friday was taken, Andy said,
"Hey, stop smiling for a second," and he replied, "It's too hard not to smile." That was Dustin. He always had a smile on his face.
He poured so much into the lives of the kids who came through the skatepark. He had a way of making each one feel seen, valued and loved.
Last weekend, The Rock had a retreat, and Dustin was in my small group. He shared that the thing he wanted most in life was to be useful and helpful to others. That was exactly how he lived.
He loved to serve, and he was incredible at it.
Please pray for his family and for everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy - the other families impacted, the first responders who fought to save his life, and the kids who will feel his absence at The Rock.
Dustin was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
