As many of you know, our colleague Dr. Naseer Alomari passed away unexpectedly during what would have been his first year as the newly elected Chair of the Department of Speech, Communication, and Theatre Arts at BMCC. His sudden loss has left our community heartbroken. In the midst of this tragedy, his wife, who is new to the United States, is now facing profound grief alongside immediate financial uncertainty.

We are organizing a GoFundMe as a concrete way for the BMCC community to honor the memory of Dr. Alomari by standing with his family in this extraordinarily vulnerable moment. Our goal is to help provide them with a measure of stability in the coming months so that they can grieve and begin to rebuild.
