Honoring Douglass Haggerty Sr.'s Legacy

On September 20, my family suffered a tremendous loss with the sudden passing of my father, Douglass Haggerty Sr. We found our father deceased in his apartment alone. We are saddened by his loss but are comforted by the countless memories we got to share with him. Today will be a day to remember him and celebrate the life he got to live. He wasn’t always the easiest man to understand, but he loved me and my four other siblings endlessly. He wouldn’t want anyone to be hurting by his death, but rather to be happy to have gotten the chance to know him. He was a good man who would help his friends and family even if he didn’t have enough for himself. My dad would love to see all the love us kids are getting by our friends and family, it’s saddening for him to not be here to share the love. My siblings and I are figuring out arrangements for a viewing and memorial for him. He will be forever known for his bravery throughout his fight with cancer and raising his five children alone. We would like to have a funeral and a cremation for him. For anyone who has the means to donate, anything would be greatly appreciated.
