Dorothy LaShon Baines was the heart and foundation of our family. She was a kind, selfless, and loving woman who always put others before herself, making sure everyone around her felt cared for and supported. Her warmth, generosity, and beautiful spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Our lives changed forever when Dorothy was tragically murdered in her Las Vegas home as a result of domestic violence, suffering a gunshot wound to the head. Like so many victims, she quietly carried burdens that those who loved her never fully knew about. She never told our family what she was experiencing, and we never imagined the danger she was facing. We now share her story in the hope that it raises awareness about the reality of domestic violence and reminds others that no one should have to suffer in silence. Her life was taken from us far too soon, leaving our family devastated as we struggle to process this unimaginable loss.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and the unexpected financial burdens our family now faces during this difficult time. She has always been the family member who responsibly handles financial matters and helps take care of important family responsibilities.
