Honoring Doraine Stangel: Help Us Say Goodbye

On August 4th, 2024, my mother, Doraine Stangel, passed away while incarcerated at Jefferson County Detention Center in Golden, Colorado. Her death was sudden and she leaves behind a devastated family. She was the strongest woman many of us knew and it saddens us deeply to know her last moments were spent as they were. No one deserves to go the way she did and our family is working to understand the circumstances that led to her death.
