My name is John Rinehart, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of Donte Gonzalez’s family.

Donte has been my best friend for countless years. He was the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into — whether it was through his love of skateboarding or the most contagious smile you could imagine. He made people laugh, feel seen, and feel welcome just by being himself. To so many of us, Donte was truly the light in our lives.

We are heartbroken by this loss. Donte was deeply loved, and his passing has left a hole that words can’t fully explain. Right now, his family is facing an unimaginable time, and no one should have to carry that weight alone.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to support Donte’s family as they navigate this incredibly difficult period. Any contribution, no matter the size, and even sharing this page, means more than we can express.
