Donovan E. Bowerbank, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 15th, 2026. Donovan built a meaningful and lasting life in Michigan, where he became a beloved father, mentor, coach, and friend to many.
Donovan dedicated his life to uplifting others. As a co-founder and longtime coach of Ann Arbor United Soccer Club, he spent over 30 years mentoring young athletes and creating opportunities for kids to grow, compete, and belong.
To honor his legacy and wishes, we are raising funds to support both current players and the next generation. Donations will help cover player registration fees, uniforms and equipment, travel and tournament costs, and financial assistance for families in need. A portion of the funds may also be used to help cover his funeral and memorial expenses.
Donovan believed every child deserved the chance to play. With your support, we can continue that mission and ensure more kids have the opportunity to step onto the field and thrive.
Funds will go toward:
- Player registration fees, ensuring more children can join the club regardless of financial means
- Travel expenses, such as transportation, lodging, and tournament entry fees for regional and national competitions
- Field rentals and training resources, helping provide safe, high-quality environments for development
- Scholarships and financial assistance, prioritizing players and families in need
- Uniforms and equipment, including cleats, training gear, first aid, and team kits
This fund will help ensure that Donovan’s mission continues—that every child who wants to play has the opportunity to step onto the field, grow in confidence, and be part of a community that believes in them.
