It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of My Mom, Donna Jean Ciatti on November 14, 2025 at the age of 62.

Born on September 4, 1963 in Detroit Michigan. She was a graduate of Plymouth-Canton High School. She received her BA from Eastern Michigan University and her Masters from National University in San Diego, CA. A resident of Ocean Beach, San Diego CA for 40 years, Donna was a mom, a teacher a mentor. A retired teacher in the San Diego Unified School District, she found her passion teaching SED students at Riley School in Clairmont Ca. Her outgoing, bubbly personality, her positive outlook on life, and her endless dedication and relentless drive to help children with learning and emotional disabilities, and left an extraordinary impact on countless students.

Her infectious smile and sense humor was contagious. She had endless generosity and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard B. Ciatti and mother Barbara Dreher, brothers Brian Catti and Ryan Ciatti.

Donna leaves behind her son Gino Anthony Sacco. He was her life. Her everything. Her peanut. Her legacy. Also, her former husband John Sacco of San Diego, mother Judy ciatti of Farmington MI, aunt Kathy MacDonald of Boston Ma, sister Karen (Kevin Washchuk) of Sterling Heights MI, nephews Dominic and Jeffrey Washchuck of Sterling Heights MI, aunt Diane Vogul of Detroit MI, niece Kerry, nephew Richie Vogul of Detroit MI, estranged brother Jeff Ciatti, former in-laws of Albion NY along with numerous friends, loved ones and students that have been touched by her enormous heart. My mom would love to have all her friends, former coworkers, former students and acquaintances join us and
help us plan a beautiful celebration of her life in San Diego, Ca at ZLAC Rowing Club Venue (1111 Pacific Beach Dr, San Diego,CA) on January 11th, 2026 @1pm
