This GoFundMe is set up for my friend Benny’s father, Desiderio Osornio Hernández, who passed away surrounded by his loved ones on August 6, 2025. Don Desiderio was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and loved by so many in his life. His wise words, great humor, and excellent storytelling will always be remembered.

Don Desiderio was born in Chupicuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico on April 26, 1954. He came to the United States as a young man in 1974 and began working on the ranch breaking colts. He dedicated his whole life working for Spur Ranch until 2016. He is forever remembered and survived by his loving wife, Maricela Hernández; two sons and daughter-in-law, Joe and Olivia Hernandez, and Benny Hernandez; and two grandsons, Jacob and Luciano Hernández.

Funeral services are yet to be determined.
