Honoring DJ Simbah's Legacy of Love
Donation protected
On June 2, in the middle of an ordinary afternoon, the world tilted. Dawit, known to so many as DJ Simbah, took his last breath while sharing a meal with his fiancée and their newborn daughter. One moment he was living, laughing, loving. The next, he was gone. No warning. No time. Just pure heartbreak - shattering and silent.
Dawit was truly one of a kind. Through the beats he dropped, the laughter he sparked, and the way he could light up a room just by walking into it, he brought people together. He turned strangers into soulmates and gatherings into family. He had a rare gift, making you feel like you mattered, like you were seen, deeply and truly loved. To so many of us, he was family. A brother in every sense of the word.
Since that devastating moment, so many of you have reached out - stunned, grieving, searching for a way to hold this aching loss and do something, anything, to honor him and help his family. Especially the two hearts he left behind far too soon.
This space is just that. A circle of care, of remembrance, of action. A place for those who loved Dawit, and those who still carry his spirit, to surround the new family he built with the love he left behind.
Your support, your messages, your generosity will help his baby girl grow up wrapped in the same love Dawit gave so freely to the world.
We are here, together, holding the door open for anyone who wants to walk through it, with grief, with love, and with hope.
Thank you for remembering him, for loving him, and for carrying his light forward.
He may be gone from this world, but Dawit’s spirit still dances in every beat of our hearts.
With love and gratitude,
Dawit’s Friends
