I am Leanora, known to Diego as Auntie. I stand here to honor his memory and celebrate the beautiful life he lived.

In the wake of an unimaginable tragedy, we come together to honor the memory of Diego. He was a remarkable soul whose presence radiated warmth and kindness. Diego, a cherished father, brother, son, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend, was taken from us far too soon in a senseless act of violence on June 1, 2024, in downtown Anchorage.

Diego's spirit was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him. His charisma, unwavering care, and diligent work ethic left an indelible mark on those around him. He possessed a rare gift for lifting others up, always extending a helping hand and offering words of solace and encouragement. Diego's generosity, protective nature, and infectious laughter brought joy and laughter to countless hearts.

With his parents and as a family we navigate this immense heartfelt loss. We humbly reach out for support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference as we honor Diego's memory and continue to uphold the values he held dear. Your generosity will be met with our deepest gratitude, as we come together to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable individual.
