On August 16th, 2024, at approximately 22:30, at the age of 62, Diane Oliva took her final breaths at Northern Manor Nursing Home. Many of you know Diane to be larger than life. She was absolutely balls to the wall, my way or the highway kind of gal. She was such a smart ass and so, so sassy. Everyone who knew her either loved her so deeply that her sharp words didn't matter, and others hated her so deeply because her sharp words...were true. Many of you may remember Diane for the years she worked at the Venture and Dads, serving all of you for years, the laughs she gave you all behind that bar in some of your worst times. She loved that job...she would tell me all of her bar stories and all the interesting people she met while doing what she loved. She loved her home in Long Island, that's where her heart always wanted her to be and she knew that. She was such a kind, caring, and loving woman. She would help anyone in any way she could and she loved with her whole heart.
Diane loved and lived for her son, her reason for being and reason for life. She lived to make her son's life easy and perfect and she did her best at that. Due to Diane's prior health conditions, she was never able to get life insurance and so that leaves Joseph solely to cover all of the costs of her arrangements. This money would go straight to Diane's funeral arrangements.
Joe would like to thank you all from the bottom of his heart for loving his mom the way he did, for accepting her sassy ways and for protecting her. Thank you all. There will be updates with arrangements when we get them.
