Our family is heartbroken by the sudden loss of our beloved grandfather, Devon Scott, who many knew lovingly as “Sleepy.” Born in Jamaica and a longtime resident of Hartford, Connecticut, he was a man who brought people together through love, laughter, and incredible food. Sleepy was known for his cooking and his talent in the kitchen. He was one of the best chefs you could ever meet and could make just about anything from scratch. For him, cooking was more than food it was his way of showing love to family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to sit at his table. His meals brought people together and created memories that will stay with us forever.

His passing came suddenly after becoming sick, leaving our family grieving an unexpected loss while trying to make arrangements to honor his life. We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses so we can give him the proper farewell he deserves. During this difficult time, our family is also facing financial strain. Which is why we need your help! As his granddaughter I want to be able to support my family  during this difficult time and make sure my grandfather has a proper going away service.
