It feels surreal to even write this, but on July 1, 2025, at 6:20 AM, my beloved husband, Devon Joel Blade Ryder, was found unresponsive. Despite all attempts, we lost him.

Devon's presence brightened so many lives. He was deeply known for his unwavering kindness and welcoming embrace. He had a remarkable capacity to love easily, and his compassion radiated in every interaction, especially with animals and those he cared for. The thought that he's no longer with us is still too much to bear.
