With an extremely heavy heart, I am asking for support for the loss of my big brother, Devin J. Long. Devin could walk into a room and change the whole mood. He was motivational and impactful, and he helped everybody who crossed his path. Devin was a humble pillar of strength for his five children, and due to his dedication to them, he started his own fitness journey to promote anti-gun violence and give a positive, motivational platform to the community. The most painful part of this tragedy is that Devin was taken away from us in the same community where he promoted peace to. There were four gun-related deaths this week in Madison, WI and Devin was the fourth. If you knew him, you know what the world lost. Losing Devin was so sudden and unexpected that our family is now facing the heavy financial burden of arranging his final farewell. We have started this fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial costs, as well as to support his children through the incredibly difficult journey ahead. You were a light in this world, Devin, and lights like you don't go out — they get passed on. Please keep my family in your prayers; we are thankful for your help.
