Today, December 6th, we lost a truly beautiful soul to the hand of domestic violence. Desree was so much more than the roles she carried—she was a mother, a father, a friend, a nurse, and a source of strength for everyone who knew her. She lived with a rare kind of compassion, the kind that made people feel safe, understood, and deeply cared for.

Desree leaves behind five precious children who were the center of her world. Everything she did, she did with love for them. She was their comfort, their guide, their protector, and their greatest example of resilience.

To know Desree was to know genuine kindness. She was warm, selfless, and real in a way that touched hearts effortlessly. She had a light in her that made people feel better just by being near her. Her conversations, her presence, and her spirit were gifts to everyone blessed enough to cross her path.

Her absence leaves a space that will never be filled, but her memory—her love, her laughter, her strength—will live on forever in our hearts and in the lives of her children.

May we honor Desree by carrying forward the compassion she showed, the love she gave, and the beauty she brought into this world. Rest peacefully, Desree Mendoza, my bonus daughter. We love you and will never be forgotten.
