Hi everyone, I share with a heavy heart that my mom, Denise Montgomery, has passed away at 68 on Sunday morning (10/26). She is deeply missed by family members, friends, and coworkers who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

My mom was a gregarious person with a can-do attitude. Everything she did in life was motivated by her desire to have fun and enjoy the moment. She wore her heart on her sleeve, always spent time helping and talking to others, and was always sure to remind those she cared about that she loved them. My sister, Sarah, and I will always remember all the weekend trips to the beach growing up, and somehow, her knowing exactly the right words to say when we needed it most. My wife, Brigette recalls my mom's immediate acceptance of her into our family and how quickly and easily she felt connected with her.

My sister and I would like to have a memorial for those she loved, but in a way that would best align with my mom's way of life. Your contribution, no matter the size, will go toward helping us prepare her final arrangements and providing a healing space for loved ones to mourn. In lieu of a traditional memorial, we will be cremating her and then hosting a small get-together at her favorite restaurant and treat the people she cared for most. She preferred keeping things light and she loved a good "cow-town" meal.
