My wife, Lilytheraccoon, and I are reaching out during one of the hardest times in life, the moment you lose someone. My Nana, Denise Currington, passed away suddenly just before her 69th birthday on July 14th. Many people in this community knew that I had a sick family member who was battling cancer, and unfortunately as strong as she was, she lost that battle. She was my life and the woman who gave me strength to keep fighting when times seemed rough. She was the person who helped raise me and helped form me into the person I am today. We shared countless adventures together, often getting lost but always finding our way back—She made every moment unforgettable.

Nana was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She would stop everything to help someone in need, whether it was offering financial support or simply being there with love and kindness. Even when she didn’t have much, she would share whatever she had if it meant someone else needed it more.

I am organizing this fundraiser on my own to help cover the costs of her cremation. Nana had set aside some money in the event she lost the battle, but we are still short and struggling financially to cover the cremation costs. I know that everyone is going through their own challenges, and I don’t expect anyone to donate.
