Honoring Demetria (Demi) Jones
 
On April 13, 2021, after a brief illness due to COVID-19, my sister Demetria Monic Jones, transitioned from this life to her eternal home with Jesus, at the age of 43.  Demetria was a kindhearted, loving, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  Her greatest joy was being a mother to her sons Vincent (14) and Donavan (10). Demetria was a proud single mother who unconditionally loved, adored and cherished her children. Love, generosity, and support of family and friends was always at the center of her heart. Demetria displayed these attributes when she lovingly  adopted her 3 great nieces Emily (15), Teresa (14), and Demianna (8).
 
Demetria’s children loved and adored their mom for the way she cared for them and spent fun times with them vacationing in Frankemuth, MI, and participating in various youth activities at New Hope Baptist Church, such as Trunk and Treat and the Christmas Money Tree.
 
Demetria knew the value of education. She earned an Associate’s Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. At the time of her passing, Demetria was gainfully employed at the IRS as a Revenue Agent for the Tax-Exempt/ Government Entities organization. 

The passing of Demetria is a traumatic loss for her 5 children. She valued the importance of education and in her honor, we would like to ensure that her children are cared for and receive a good education.
