Honoring Delmus “Del” Lightcsy’s Memory

Delmus “Del” Lightcsy was the kind of person who left every place and every life better than he found it.

In the film industry he started as a production assistant and quickly became someone everyone noticed—working harder than anyone else, running circles around the set with incredible energy and always doing it with a huge smile. Over the years he built a respected career working as a grip, a stunt driver, and later as a Teamsters driver hauling film equipment. No matter what role he was in, people loved working with him.

Del had a rare ability to lift the energy of a room. He was quick with a joke, always positive, and always ready to make someone laugh. He believed in staying connected with the people in his life and was known for checking in on friends just to see how they were doing.

Outside of work, Del was deeply curious about the world and passionate about learning new things. He recently pursued flight school to become a pilot and even built his own flight simulator at home. He also loved working with his hands—gardening, building, fixing things, and improving the places around him. Whether it was helping a friend, repairing something that needed attention, or creating something new, Del had a way of making things better.

Anyone who knew Del knows how special he was. In all the years people worked with him and knew him, it’s hard to find anyone who has anything but positive things to say. He was a loyal friend, a kind person, and someone who brought genuine joy wherever he went.

Del passed away unexpectedly while recovering from a recent medical procedure, leaving his family heartbroken.

This fundraiser has been created to help his father and family cover memorial expenses and the costs that come with losing someone so suddenly.

If you knew Del, you already understand how extraordinary he was. If you didn’t have the chance to meet him, please know he was the kind of person who made life brighter for the people around him.

Any support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this page—means the world to his family during this difficult time.

Del was truly one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed.
