Honoring Delia Maria Ortiz: Support Her Burial

The Rodriguez and Ortiz suffered a tragic loss of their beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Our grieving family will be blessed by any contributions to give Delia Maria Ortiz the burial she deserved. She passed at the age of 81 years on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in Somerville, New Jersey.

Delia was born on July 17, 1943, in Puerto Rico, where she spent her childhood before moving to Brooklyn, New York. She later settled in Bound Brook, New Jersey, where she had resided for over 20 years.

A former member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, Delia’s greatest passion in life was caring for her family. Known for her exceptional cooking, she created countless cherished meals and memories that her family will treasure forever. Her devotion to her loved ones and the joy she found in providing for them will be deeply missed.

Delia is survived by her beloved husband, Luis Ortiz; her children, Luis Rodriguez, Felicita Lamberty, Jovita Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Dorance Ortiz, and Nelson Ortiz; her seventeen grandchildren, and her four sisters.

Delia’s memory will live in our hearts until we meet again.
