My mother, Demetrus Dee Dee White, was a woman whose heart moved like sunlight—soft, warm, and always reaching for others. She was kind in a way the world doesn’t see often anymore… funny in that effortless, natural way that could lift even the heaviest spirit… and real in every sense of the word. She didn’t know how to pretend. She knew how to love.

She spent her life giving—helping people with whatever she had, even when she had little. That was her way. A good heart, a gentle hand, and a laugh that stayed with you long after she walked away.

Her passing was sudden and has left our family heartbroken and unprepared. I, her daughter Demetriona, am doing my best to honor her the way she deserved. I am humbly asking for help to give my mother a beautiful homegoing—one that reflects the love she poured into this world.
