Hello, my name is Darrell Lee Gomez. My mother, Deborah Silva, passed away on May 20, 2025. My mother was going through pneumonia and advanced COPD during the remainder of her life. However, she lived as much as she could while also living through a disease called Lupus. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues, causing inflammation and damage in various parts of the body. My mother was a strong warrior of faith, a good judge of character, and a firm but kind woman who has helped so many people in her life while struggling against this disease. Losing her was like losing my entire heart.That being said, she did not have a memorial plan up ahead in terms of cremation or funeral plans. So this GoFundMe is to help cover those expenses. I’ve been blessed by many people who are willing to help my sister and me through this incredibly hard time. Any donation would help toward making it possible for her to have a peaceful memorial service and gathering of all those who have been affected by her. Thank you everyone. I miss her very much.
