Hi, my name is Jacklynn, I’m creating this fundraiser for my mom, Tawnya—someone who has always given everything of herself without ever asking for anything in return. She’s a strong, selfless woman who raised five kids alongside her husband, my stepdad, David Stanek.

David passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2025, at just 54 years old—a heartbreaking loss that no family is ever truly prepared for. In the days that followed, my mom has been faced with not only overwhelming grief, but the heavy reality of handling everything that comes after—from unexpected expenses and bills, to paperwork and debt, all while trying to simply breathe through the loss.

Their savings had just been used to put a much-needed roof on their home while also being a caregiver to her mother right now. Because of this loss, her health insurance is now gone. It’s a storm of emotional and financial stress, and no one should have to walk through it alone.
