My name is Miriam. Our dad, David Trujillo, was hospitalized over a month ago with a critical illness. He has a rare genetic blood clotting disorder that unfortunately has made his health severe. He is now in hospice care and has an unknown time left with us. There are not any options left to help with his condition and sadly he is considered terminal.
Our dad has always been a hardworking man. He has always supported his family and has loved us in his way. He has always done everything he needed to make his family happy and has provided for his wife and kids and given us everything we’ve ever needed. I have never met a man stronger than our dad. He has been so resilient and brave with this diagnosis. He has been our strength.
Our dad has helped many of his friends and family anytime they have needed help and he never questioned helping in any way he could. That is the type of man our dad is. He is an amazing man who we love so dearly. We are devastated to know he will no longer be with us. There are no words to describe all the pain all his family is feeling.
Our family is reaching out to ask for help to prepare for his funeral expenses and medical expenses that we will need to pay for. It pains us to know we’re losing him. We ask for friends and family to continue to pray for us throughout these difficult moments. For those who have reached out to help already, we appreciate it all so much with all of our hearts. If you can’t donate, we definitely understand. Times are hard but if you can share and pray for us, we also appreciate it so, so much. We will keep an update on my dad's health during the next few days.
