Hi, my name is Deneisha, and I’m sharing this on behalf of my brother and I. It is with heavy hearts that we share our dad, David Davis, has passed away yesterday morning after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.).
To know our dad was to love him. He never shied away from spreading joy, wisdom, and unconditional love to those he crossed paths with. He was the kind of man who made people laugh even in hospital rooms, even while he was in pain. He kept his spirits high, even when his body was tired. He never stopped cracking jokes, making faces, or lifting our spirits in the darkest of moments.
Our dad spoiled us rotten! He made sure we never forgot how loved we were and was always just a phone call away. He was a deep soul, a quiet, quirky character with a heart full of gold and a mind full of magic. He was spiritual, grounded, and wise. A man of unwavering faith, though life gave him every reason to question it.
Our dad was full of knowledge and creativity. He was a writer and a poet, a mentor and a teacher, someone who made everyone around him feel welcome, seen, and safe in his presence. He had this way of reminding you of who you were, even when you forgot. He was our hero, our home, and our greatest source of light.
Now, as we navigate life without him, my brother and I are facing the weight of funeral expenses, medical bills, and the many logistics that follow the loss of a parent. We’re reaching out to ask for help so that we can give our father a peaceful, dignified farewell that reflects the love he gave so freely.
Your donations will go toward:
• Funeral and memorial service costs
• Remaining hospital and care expenses
• Transportation and legal arrangements
If you can donate, share, or simply hold us in your prayers, it would mean the world to us. This man gave us everything he had and then some, and we want to send him off with the same love he gave to everyone he met.
For friends and family, we will update you with funeral details in the days to come.
With love and deep gratitude,
Deneisha & Walter❤️
