There are moments in life that change everything, and for our family, that moment came when my brother Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer just over a month ago. What began with pain and discomfort quickly became something far more devastating. Doctors found that Dave's cancer had already spread through his bones, causing a constant, unbearable pain in the weeks leading up to his hospital admission.

If you know Dave, you know he faced this with quiet strength (and some cursing of course;). He began a treatment with hope-hope for more time and some more moments with the people he loves. But despite his courage, his body simply couldn't handle the treatments. Over the past month, he has gone from the hospital, to a rehabilitation facility, and back to the hospital again, fighting every step of the way.

With heavy hearts, and alongside his medical team, our families made the incredibly difficult decision to transition Dave to hospice care. Now we are focused on keeping him comfortable, surrounded by love, as he prepares to move from this world to a place free of pain.

We are asking for help to support Dave and his family during this incredibly difficult time. Your contribution will go toward sudden accumulating medical costs and funeral expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help to ease the stress and allow Dave's wife and children to focus on what truly matters-being present with Dave and honoring him with the dignity and care he deserves.
