In memory of Dario Marsalek

Dario Marsalek was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and a cherished member of his community. At just 19 years old, Dario tragically lost his life in an accident, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. Dario was full of life and had a beautiful spirit. He loved his family and friends deeply, enjoyed traveling and going on adventures, and embraced every moment life gave him. Dario had a genuine way of loving others purely and making people smile simply by being present. His warmth, kindness, laughter, and unforgettable presence touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

No words can truly express the heartbreak of losing someone so young and so full of life. During this incredibly difficult time, support for Dario’s family will help ease some of the financial burden as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Our names are Valentina and Davor Marsalek, and we are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our nephew's parents, Darko and Bilsena Marsalek. Darko is Davor's brother, which makes Bilsena our sister-in-law and Dario Marsalek, our beloved nephew. After his sudden and heartbreaking passing, we stepped in to manage this campaign so that his parents could focus on grieving and on being together as a family, rather than on the costs that follow a loss like this.

Every dollar raised will go directly to Darko and Bilsena to help them lay their son to rest. The funds will cover funeral home and funeral service costs, the wake and memorial gathering, burial arrangements, transportation, clergy and floral expenses, and the other end-of-life costs a family faces at a time like this. Anything remaining after those expenses will help ease the immediate financial burden this loss has placed on their household.

We will withdraw the funds and transfer them in full to Darko and Bilsena Marsalek, who are the intended beneficiaries of this campaign. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has given, and to the GoFundMe team for their care in reviewing our request.
