In Loving Memory of Daniel Mendoza

Our hearts are broken as we share the sudden loss of our beloved, Daniel Mendoza. Daniel was kind, gentle and full of love — the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into. He’s left us far too soon, and our family is still trying to come to terms with this unimaginable loss.

We are starting this fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses and give Daniel the memorial he deserves — one that honors his life, his spirit, and the love he gave so freely. Any contribution, big or small, will help us through this difficult time.

A letter from Elizabeth:

I never imagined I would ever have to write something like this. It is with a broken heart that I share the most painful news of my life. On August 14th, my world came crashing down when I lost my beloved brother—the dearest person to my heart.

As many of you know, I had the honor of caring for him over the last year and a half. In that time, we shared so many close moments together—moments of growth, laughter, and love—that I will carry with me forever. His passing has left me at a loss for words, while I face arrangements I never wanted to prepare for.

My deepest hope is to give him a proper memorial, surrounded by love, and to have my mother close to me so she can say her final goodbye. Many of you have reached out, asking how you can support us, and I am so grateful. The truth is, I am still trying to find my footing and piece things together. This fund will help cover the costs of the funeral and final arrangements, and give me some peace of mind knowing I can focus on honoring him.
