It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel John Brunkow, 57. Dan departed this life surrounded by loved ones on August 20, 2025. A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Dan touched many lives with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Dan spent his life building meaningful connections and living with purpose. He was known for his sense of humor, work ethic, kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. Whether through his career in IT, his volunteer work with Thanks for the Freedom Fund, or simply lending a helping hand, he made a lasting impact on those around.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the joy Dan brought to our lives and the memories that will live on forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the family in honor of his memory in order to fund a memorial that will be decided at a later date.
