My husband, Dane Souza, was truly a gentle giant with a big heart. He was always willing to help anyone in need and had a passion for building and racing cars. Dane loved to fish and even made his own lures, and his creativity showed in everything from metalwork to tie-dye art. He was incredibly smart, knowledgeable in so many areas, and was an amazing dad, a wonderful husband, and a great friend to many.
In his later years, Dane’s health began to decline. Over the past 15 years, he suffered nine strokes and faced other serious health complications. He eventually became bedridden, and the medical supplies and care he needed were very expensive—many of which were not covered by our insurance. These costs have been overwhelming for our family.
We are hoping to honor Dane’s memory with a celebration of life, and we are also working to bring our daughter home during this difficult time. Any support will help us cover medical bills, final expenses, and the costs of honoring Dane’s life. We are grateful for any help and ask that you keep Dane in your prayers as we navigate this loss.
