My name is Jennifer and I am trying to help cover my step-dad's expenses for his cremation, paying the remaining amount of the plot, and any services we set up for him.

He would light up any room with a joke or even a story. He was a lover of the outdoors—fishing, hunting, looking for morels, and more recently, he loved watching the birds that came to the feeders.

Dan died peacefully in his sleep Friday, Oct 24th, when he laid down for his nap. He is survived by his daughter Crystal Novak, grandsons Keegin and Jacob Novak, as well as Ian Villa. His long-term significant other Kelly Lane, step-daughters Jennifer Gulick and Brittney Lane, father John (Lois) Novak, sisters Cyndie (Bob) Nelson, Lori (Ruppert) Ellis, and a long list of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Jacob Novak, mother Mary Bowser, and step-father Bill Bowser.
