The Final Call

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Kennedy—a Marine, a firefighter, a student, and a hero to so many. After 28 years of shielding the community of Gloucester from harm and serving his country with honor, Dan has completed his final tour.

A Marine and a Guardian

Dan’s life was defined by the "Semper Fi" spirit. He served with distinction as a Marine during Operation Desert Storm, carrying the lessons of brotherhood and bravery back home to Massachusetts. He traded one uniform for another, joining the Gloucester Fire Department, where he served for 28 years. For nearly three decades, he was the steady hand and the brave heart that neighbors relied on during their darkest moments.

A Mission to Heal Others

Even after retiring from the department, Dan refused to stop serving. Recognizing the invisible wounds that many of his fellow veterans carry, he enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He was passionately pursuing a degree in Psychology, driven by a singular goal: to provide mental health support and counseling to veterans suffering from PTSD. He wanted to ensure that no one who wore the uniform ever had to feel alone.

The Need

While Dan spent his life protecting others, his sudden passing has left his family facing an uphill battle. We are raising funds to:
