There are no words to make sense of something so abrupt. One moment he was here, woven into our lives, and the next there is an emptiness none of us were prepared for. He wasn’t just Shanas' life partner. He was a presence. A mischievous soul with a spark in his eye, a quick wit, and an uncanny way of leaving his mark on every room he walked into. There was simply a way he took care of us all with every connection he made. We are now collectively left with this ache in our hearts and weight on our souls.

Damien and Shana built a life rooted in love, laughter, adventure, growth, and everything in between. They were partners in the truest sense — there was nothing in life they didn't devour together.

Losing him so suddenly has turned her world upside down. Truly an earthquake of emotions nobody could prepare for.

As she processes the shock and grief which inevitably comes with such sudden loss, there is also the unexpected financial responsibilities that come with it. We’re creating this space to help ease that burden so she can focus on healing instead of worrying about logistics. The reality is, Shana needs our help. There are mounting household expenses as well as all the completely unexpected expenses that come with end of life. So let's pull together for our girl.
