Honoring Dale Mundell: A Grandfather's Legacy

Dale Eugene Mundell, 76, of Ottumwa, died at 3:30 a.m. June 18, 2024 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.

He was born January 30, 1948 in Ottumwa to Clarence and Marie Maxine Harris Mundell. Dale married Donna Moore and they later divorced.

Dale had been a resident of Ottumwa most of his life. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and uncle and he loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids. Dale always tried to make people smile.

Surviving are his children, Brandon Mundell (Zoe Klodt) of Ottumwa, William (Liz) Mundell of Creston, Michelle Mundell of Missouri, Victor (Michelle) Mundell of Texas and Ty of Keokuk; 30+ grandchildren including Keyton, Keely and Brennan; 10+ great-grandchildren; a brother, Glenn (Sandy) Mundell and a sister Jeretta (Charles) Bliss, both of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Wendy Lesinski and a brother, William LeRoy Mundell.

His body has been cremated and no services are planned.
