Hello family, friends, & community,
I’m raising funds for my dad, Jonathan Arenas’ funeral expenses. My dad spent his life supporting and being there for others in anyway that he could. He had literally fought for those he loved & what he believed to be right! My dad was known for being an amazing cook, he was not shy with the flavor. He had great taste in music, those close to him all have a song or an artist tied to memories of him. He was always making others laugh, sometimes from being an asshole, or because he referenced one of the many movies or shows he’s watched ! Fighting life strong like the heroes from his comics.
His life was lost young, at just 42 but his strength & legacy live on with my brother Jacob (20) and I (23). It has been insane to live in this reality without our dad. We’ll always vary the memories of our childhood with our dad, especially those we spent in nature. When he lived in California it was the Cabrillo Beach & Azusa Canyons and when he moved to Washington there was always a new waterfall or lake to explore.
We don’t want money to be the reason we cannot celebrate my dad’s life the way he deserves so we are hoping to take an unconventional approach and raise enough for services and teramation. Teramation is a process would help bring our dad back to us in a way that he can continue to give life back to us and the land. It’s new but offers so much more to what life can be after death. We want to do what we can to reach our goal before having to consider other burial options, since what he wanted was to be a tree.⭐️
We appreciate anything & everything that you can give, even just words of support.
