About Craig

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news that our colleague and friend, Craig Springer, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning.

Before joining Alpha, Craig served as a pastor in both Chicago and Denver, including leadership roles at Willow Creek Community Church and Cherry Hills Community Church, the latter recognized by Outreach Magazine as the Fastest Growing Church in America in 2014.

In addition to his work with churches and Alpha, Craig also brought his heart for innovation and ministry to Gloo, where he contributed his insight and leadership toward expanding the intersection of technology and spiritual growth. His time at Gloo reflected his unwavering belief that churches could be better equipped to serve people where they are : with empathy, invitation, and impact.

With over two decades of leadership in both local and global ministry contexts, Craig also authored How to Follow Jesus (2020) and How to Revive Evangelism (2021), works that continue to guide and inspire church leaders across the world.
